The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi all. New guy here from the UK. I've been building props for about 20 years now but the Colonial Marine stuff has always alluded me. Until now :)

I've now started a pepakura build. First time I've ever used pepakura and its turning out to be interesting.

Slowly getting there with the scratch built marine armour. I ran out of padding material so couldn't finish mounting the other shoulder plates. I've also got the helmet ear pieces on order as I gave up trying to make them lol. Over all so far I'm happy

Absolutely is. Pepakura as the base and then 2 layers of fibgreglass, finished off with a layer of bumper filler (oh and a bit of sanding ;) )

Thanks for the kind comment :) I think the yellow is too mustard though. If it really bugs me I'll repaint it but for now I just want to get it finished

Other shoulder now complete :) Time to start on the webbing and the groin armour. Still awaiting the camera and ear pieces for the helmet too. Excuse the MTP but I have not got the proper BDUs yet.
I thought this stuff would be unfortable to wear but its really comfy. Just had it on for over 30 minutes and almost forgot I was wearing it

Top notch! The overall dimensions are looking good too. Once the Ab Pad is added it really ties the armour together.
(Nice astromech!)

And the torso armour is just about there. Happy with how the soft groin padding came out too :) I'm awaiting the front straps and ear pieces for the helmet still but I can now concentrate on my pulse rifle
