The bulb burned out on my Matsuo shoulder lamp a few years back and it has been on my 'to-do' list forever. This weekend I finally knocked it out. I decided, "nuts to that bulb and screw those 'D' batteries." Time to go LED. I have a couple of these rechargeable LED pocket lights at home. 500 lumen max, but adjustable. These seemed like the perfect item to adapt into my lamp. Attachment: I basically just gutted everything, pulled out the good bits, re-soldered some wires, then slapped it all back together! I succeeded in drastically reducing weight and keeping a pretty darn bright output with a 10 hour battery life, all rechargeable via micro USB on the bottom of the housing! I have uploaded the video to my youtube page (check it out and subscribe!). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9Vjaqw ... e=youtu.be This is the final result. Attachment:

Good Upgrade. BTW: Depending on what version you want you could also have the cable, that is used to recharge, coming out of the lamp housing. This has also been done in the movie. |
