While I’m getting up the nerve to drill a mounting hole in my Beyerdynamic Headset to mount the camera. I switched projects and started putting together an ear piece for a Dropship Helmet. I’m trying to use as many real parts I have at my disposal and looking closely at Stephen 210’s resin cast piece. I also looked at the archive material on this site that was extremely helpful. I used parts from the Robotech Axiod Kit, a Polaroid CL635, some Plastruck mercury lamps LF-316 and LF-312. A weapon piece from a vintage Transformer Autobot and the little earphone jack looking part is actually a charging plug from an old Mini-Vac that I’ve had for years that was broken and I could never throw it away. Looking at it and photos in the archives, it actually looks like the correct part! So like my headset, it’s close and I used as many correct parts as I could find but it’s not exactly screen accurate. I’m very pleased with the way it’s coming along and the detail really stands out when you do a build like this.
