The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Ive had to sell off my two noble slings when cash got tight. Thinking of doing a "close enough" budget build.

Does anyone know where to get the correct metal hooks for the sling, as well as

I think the hooks came from UK 58 pattern webbing.

There are actually 2x different "slides". One is a "tri-glide" or "webbing slide". This one provides tension on the adjustable portion of the webbing.

The other is a 2" ring that doesn't slide, it is just attached the sewn side with a hook and lets the adjustable webbing slide around it on the other side.

I believe that 2" ring (or "buckle slide") is what is visible on the belt in your image, but if you can find one of those army "utility straps" cheap then I believe they have the same overall design and you can transfer those metal parts on to your correct webbing. Changing the clips to the 58 ones would certainly finish it off nice.

thanks Big I just found the jackpot for 58 clips. im gonna track down those other two, thats a big help! For reference, i have the singer 4423 with diesel needles for denim in it. Its not a pro machine, only cost 120 but I think itll do the job with a coulple of snags. Ill keep posting as things develop.

im seeing some sliders on pieces for sale but its vintage stuff. might have to look for repros.
