Part of me wants to get these, but then there's the part of me that remembers selling the old Kenner figures...the whole set, MOC, at a tremendous loss.

Well, I did it. Bought an APC set. I only wanted this because I think it will go great with the ReAction ALIENS figures due out later this year.

I always wonder who the hell is the consultant on toys. When they do stupid shit like this im so confused.
If they had even a shred of accuracy everyone including kids would buy more of them. As a kid i bought the gorilla alien because out of what they had it was the closest to the actual alien.

I actually wish I could ask the designers "what were you thinking" you have a goldmine of a license, its so easy to make these
way better. even the power loader is just a repaint of some dollar store garbage. ive looked at Lanards design office and it looks like a dream job, people probably making crazy money. So HOW does one find success making phoned-in crap like this?

The APC is cool though, cause it has a shred of accuracy.

same with the hiya marines. those confuse me. and so do the prices.

The xenomorphs are pretty nice/accurate looking. The queen isn't too bad but man she is HUGE in comparison to the human figures.

As for why they went lazy on some of the designs....who knows, maybe it was part of their contract that they could take it upon themselves to do some things their own way?

yeah maybe since neca and hiya have the license they werent allowed to use the same font for the name and had to do diferent designs.
maybe thats also why hiya had to change the marines designs too, cause neca was already making accurate marines.

I saw these at walmart today for the first time in person.
I gotta say they are better then I thought, the queen head sculpt is very nice. Despite its body looking like it was on the juice for the summer. the apc is kinda narrow but its alright. might pick one up. all these things could use a repaint, that could be fun. and fuck it, cant knock the motorcycle.... weird as it is.
