So - I was referred here from the RPF forum, and obviously, I had missed this! How ever, whats my project. It began with me looking for a USMC Colonial Marines armour 3D File so I could print it, however, it did not seem to exist one! So with newbie 3D designer skill, this was at least hard to almost not doable for me under a timeframe within 6 months (creating the files). So I did the sensible thing, and just paid a 3D designer to make them, I actually made the payment today. But I have not sent the reference material to him yet.

1. I Need good reference material for the Armour, including leg braces (no helmet)
2. He will make the 3D design and STL files
3. I will share them with you guys for FREE (yes), and whoever wants them

As I said, I already paid up, and hoping that I can get some help here to make sure to make these tiles as good as possible I think we all can agree on that we do need them, right

So please point me in the right direction, send me pics, share libraries with me because this is kind of time-sensitive.

I think it is quite possible to actually print the armor and have it look really good, either with Carbon fiber filament for strength directly, or if one likes to stiffen it up from the inside with something, everything is possible.

Wait, you already paid him but haven't given him the reference information to start with?

I'm not aware of any reliable drawings being in the wild, and given the contours of the armor, I'm not sure they would do you any good. You'd almost be better off trying to use video game assets as a starting point.

Well it is not so bad as it sounds, he gotten the reference material I had, to come up with a price, and just after I payed him I got feedback on the RPF Forum regarding this forum, so I just thought there might be better pictures that I did not have.

ust wanted to share some pictures of the STL files for the 3D printable Armour - still need help to make them good, so feel free to pitch in

back need to be wider and front needs to be wider and rounder, its too square. the main ciurass is a big done with the trapezoids banged in with a chisel, rather then being made up on flat sections. also the front is not symetrical. the corner buckle swuare is only on the right side and the left side goues up higher. Of the two center trapezoids the upper one is twice as tall as the one pictured. and there are no ribs by the neckline. the opening in the shoulder pauldron should be smaller and shoulder strap gets narrower toward the bottom. just my two cents. feel free to pm me.

Curious, ive never 3d printed anything so since these are of course scaled for an adult can the file be manipulated to be alittle smaller for a child?

yeah , easily, get the free program "Cura". check out the Ender 3 printer

Ah ok, that particular 3d printer has no issues with the size of the armor?

I dont know. typically even smaller items must be printed in tiny sections. I would get on youtube and watch videos until your computer melts.
