The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a real M203 Handguard. My plan was to adapt it to a 3D printed M240 Flamethrower. Now that I have it, side by side comparison shows the 3D printed piece is quit a bit shorter than the real M203 Handguard. Should I cut the real piece down to size? Would it be accurate if I didn’t cut it down? Would it be to long? What was the size of the screen used flamethrowers?
Thanks for any input or opinions.

There's some info on the Propstore website here.

hi, I wouldn't cut that down. I think there is enough area in the highlighted section below to accommodate it and attach it to the substructure. I'd be willing to bet that that was how it was done originally

Looks that way. There are 12 holes on each side of the original handgurards, but only 9 visible on the flamethrower props.

Cool! Thank you Harry!
I’ll adapt it without cutting it down.
