I wonder if there was an actual conversation about the focus of the exhibit. It really seems centered on the biology of the creatures through the series, the space suits and sigourney. The fact that there are so many Prometheus and covenant props around may have something to do with it too. And of course nobody is hoarding Resurrection props secretly so those are around. Therese definitely a through-line in the exhibit and not just random stuff. shows a different take on the series. It makes me think of the marines more as outsiders, naive to these creatures in general. Like rather then the marines being associated with the creature throughout the various stories they just happened to stumble upon them in that one instance, and marines as a whole have no clue, which makes the ones involved in that instance more important as characters and people. I'm rambling. Still would have liked to see a pulse rifle on display but it does make it a whole lot different when Marines are out of the equation. You need two forces to have a war.

We've got a bigger piece of coverage in the works including an interview with the curator. Should answer some of the questions around the focus and intent of the exhibit.

Is the shot of the organs with the chestburster the prop used for the catscan in Alien 3?

Interesting how the alien has kind of "taken root" in the right side of the body, so as not to damage the heart.
I've somewhere about mention of how the alien takes root and even after removal would cause serious health problems or death.
In some of these props you can really see the depth of thought that some individuals had. As if leaving someone to do their job is all it really takes. As if executives in suits are a problem anytime they are able to get involved with the creative parts.
i guess a lot of the artists are given artwork and feedback and left alone to do their genius work. Seems like directors se the artwork and props and go "YES!" and the executives see a film cut and go "not funny enough, not enough diversity, I dont get it!".
