The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

G'day all

I'm Duncs and from Australia

Starting building my dropship pilot costume
I've got a SPH 4 helmet, mk 14a jumpsuit, IDF vest and patches galore coming.

Few issues. I'm hunting the cut template for the helmet. All links here seem to be broken/corrupt. Anyone able to send me it?

My SPH also has the wrong mic tip. Does anyone have a lead on a M87 AIC mic tip for a good price?

Hopefully pics and progress to come :)

I was studying things for a good while. Some brake line and a drill press can get you very, very, very close to accurate. If functionality is not a concern that is definately a way to go.

On my builds I am following the heart of the improvisation and props at the time. use what is on hand and common at the time, plus some of the stuff can actually qualify as parts for a Call of Duty costume with a few tweaks.

I don't recall exactly where I got this file, but I think it originally came from Stephen10's cast bits kit. Just be warned, as I recall I found it to run a tad small. I had to modify it just a bit when I built mine.

Not sure if this is a 'good price' -

I've bought quite a bit of stuff from him, and he's been excellent to deal with. Contact him via the website and tell him what you need.
He's got crates of spares & may be able to find you a cheaper, non-functional mike [the one linked to above is a working unit, of course].

This looks promising!
However Trigger Happy here in Australia just went though his bits and parts stash and BOOM! Had a mic right there! Problem sorted. Thank you though

I have the Stephen10's kit and it is very great. I recommand it if you want to make a dropship pilot's helmet from an SPh4.

bigbisont, big thanks for the file at the good scale !
