For my Bishop costume I was hoping to buy the Reebok Bugstompers, but with current prices they migth as wel be made from unobtainium :? Missed opportunity there Reebok
So I decided to make my own.

Material list:
-Nike basketball shoes (took some time to find shoes with white/red soles)
-Angelus leather paint + satin gloss + aceton or deglazer
-Leather and velcro for the straps, got the leather for free from a local shop.
-red t-shirt or other fabric
-red sewing yarn and needles
-3m reflective tape cut from a emergency vest
-double sided tape
-lots of masking tape for painting
-too much time on your hands

Steps:
-deglaze the paint where you want the new paint to attach
-paint, a foampad brush helps
-cut and sew leather straps/velro (A shoemaker sewed on the leather straps and velcro for me. )
-gloss lacquer
-sew on the red fabric (this hobby is taking me places from soldering, to programming to sewing  )
-stick on the reflective tape ( I used double sided tape)
-enjoy your hard work

update 16-10
-added Reebok stickers (laser printed and plastic foil)
-made dog tag from perspex plastic and laserprinted sticker (thanks to member Hawkins for the dimensions)
picked up my modified ROTHCO flightsuit from the seamstress. Had the front of the sleeves cut of and used the material for:
belt and shoulder loops. zipper cords added, blue cotton sewn on as fake rolled up sleeves. Patch added (embroided, might replace for printed one day)

see bottom page for additional photo.

could you remove the nike swoosh, trim it and turn it upside down on the opposite shoe? to resemble that red line on the reeboks?
