What are your favorite Aliens comics?
I have compiled my own list here, let me know what you think:

1. The 'Alien' Heavy Metal comic would rank as my first place choice - I was too young to see Alien in the theater in 1979, but I studied the HM comic and the photo-novel exhaustively even before I could see the movie.

2. The original AvP and the Dark Horse USCM comics are tied for second-place for me. AvP because AvP = 'nuff said; and the DH USCM series because they started publication when I was in boot-camp, and a friend mailed them to me. I thought I'd get a lot of flack for reading comics, but a lot of other recruits wanted to read them too. Sadly, I didn't get to keep them, and now am in the market for them again, if I can find them cheap (which so far looks impossible.)

3. As for the others, I confess I haven't read them yet. :oops:

I have the original sets of the first two series with Hicks and Newt. I had many more but had to leave them behind when I relocated. Really liked Aliens Labyrinth too and Tristan Jones art for Aliens Defiance.

My own personal favorite is the 'Alien' adaption by Heavy Metal as it was the very first alien comic/book I got. Love the original art edition too. When I was in my early teens I used to enjoy copying the art.

Man that brings back some memories, great list. I have read most of them and still have in plastic pockets a lot of the Dark Horse Aliens, Aliens Earth War, AvP, Aliens Book 1 and Book 2 and the Hicks and Newt series.

Now I'm going to have to read them again :)

Any of the original Dark Horse comics including AvP

Aliens: Genocide was very good and the covers by artist Arthur Suydam were amazing
