Post subject:  Aliens: The Serial Character Portrait Tests
Hi all.

I've been working on a piece of fanfic for a (long) while now, very much a labour of love type project, but it was put into stasis for a few years due to the demands of a young family and work (not exactly 57 years but it sometimes felt like it)
The only upside of the kids getting older far too quickly, is that I have some spare time again in the evenings and I've started to thaw the project with the hopes of having my little story finished and 3rd party edited in H1 2019.
It had always been my intention to set up a little Facebook page and have some character portraits taken professionally to help compensate for my limited writing skills and lack of originality.
Well, the Facebook is up (alienstheserial) and I've had a professional portrait to explore the possibilities for the portraits (it's just myself and my ever-suffering wife in the image). While the uniforms aren't screen accurate (and won't be due to the fact that I'm self funding this), I'm happy with this test so I thought I'd share it here given I had a lot of support from AL members Frank (577_Ops) and Neil (Schotti).

Cant help but notice a red cable tie on the revolver, is tat supposed to be there?

Eagle eyes there! I missed that myself.

We had the pictures taken at a con so we had to adhere to weapons tagging and such.

The full pictures will eventually be taken in a studio so we will be tieless!

Thanks very much for the kind offer. The first story is pretty much there, I just need to park it for a few weeks and then go back in with fresh eyes for the second (then third) draft sweeps.

If the finish product is somewhat coherent and not to laborious for the reader, then I might try a sequel (to the sequel) and we could chat then?

Thanks dude, appreciate it. At least you'll have your kit ready by then and I can twist your arm to turn up to the photoshoot for a character basis! :D :delta:
