The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Post subject: Anyone here own a prop fiction xenomorph costume?

I'm currently on the hunt for a xenomorph costume.
It seems the two most mentioned builders here are monsterroom and auldeffects.

I also found prop-fiction, a builder from Germany. For people in Europe, this is of course a plus as this means no taxes from importing an expensive kit from overseas.

Comparing images, I think a monsterroom kit would be slightly better/detailed/accurate, but it's really hard to tell.

Does anyone here own a suit from prop fiction and can talk about the quality?

I don't want to comment on prop-fiction (split up group) props, but I think you refer to the ebay offer that is poping up.
Check the details and do the math. Compare it with monsterroom and auldeffects. Case closed.

To my limited knowledge in this area these two sell on regular basis with a good repuation.

I have seen a few of these full xeno prop-fiction costumes in action and in this regard (being able to move more freely) they rock!
Please keep in mind the ebay offer is only a sub-set of what you see in the picture and you get only a kit with this offer.

Pino and other members can tell you more.

If you wanted them for comparison https://propstoreauction.com/view-auctions/info/id/78/

That's the auction catalogue from 2017. Great reference though!

After looking at those catalog pics, I'm seriously impressed by multiple things:

1. That they actually made the Aliens costumes the same way people make their replicas now - by literally gluing pieces onto an undersuit.

2. How good they made the suits look in the movie, because they look pretty cheap/bad from certain angles.

3. How good the monsterroom kit is at actually replicating the aliens suit.
