The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I recently purchased a resin motion tracker from James Forder, and a Savanna Bronica lighter from Gary Evans to go with the pouch I already have. The lighter worked for a few days after I filled it, but now just sparks, so I'm guessing it needs a new flint.

I see no uploads. No 'paperclip' icon either (the one that indicates a post has attachments in it).

As for the lighter, I'm no expert on those things, but I think as long as it sparks it means your flint is fine. Is the spark very weak or small? That could be a flint problem, otherwise I think these old boys just don't hold the fluid like they used to. I have had old zippos that I had to refill every week whether I had used it or not.

Hmmm. I haven't posted here for a while so I can't remember if there's a size limit on pics? The image was 4.75mb.

Max file size is 2mb i believe. As for the lighter im sure there is no problem with it. Have you got plenty of fluid in it?

If you uploaded the picture to site, you also need to attach it to your post on the edit screen

The Windows 10 on this 'new' pc hasn't got Paint, only Paint 3D, which doesn't seem to have a resizing option. I've had to do it another way which has resulted in a very small file size. I've attached the pic but it might be too small to see properly.

These Savanah Bronicas don't hold fluid well. I have two and they're both the same in that respect. An easy fix is to wipe the part that slides into the outer casing with petroleum jelly. Doing that, I can usually get about five days before the fluid is completely evaporated. If you actually use it, of course it will be empty sooner. These also don't hold much fluid as compared to some.

Cheers Tac that's useful info. I have Vaseline, which I presume would be just as good as PJ?

Hi, no I haven't got an electronic kit for the screen, though I think people have said you can get an 'mp4' I think it's called which goes inside the viewer screen, but I don't know where you would get one from.
