The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Would it be heresy to wear dark blue camo BDU’s with black M3 armour instead of the standard movie colours?

According to the Tech Manual, stuff could & sometimes did get matched to where people were deployed. My gear was all OD green. (since I couldn't paint for shit at the time)

Combo should look pretty sweet dude.

I haven’t got any armour yet, but I rock black multicam for my uniform...

As stated above, all kinds of color schemes have been used and are welcome. There is plenty of precedent to roll however you like.
Seven's note is valid though. I don't necessarily think people will confuse you for a real life cop, but being recognized at all can sometimes be a "thing" (countless tales of us being called 'starship troopers', 'GI Joe' or one time I was even told "that isn't a very good halo costume"). That color scheme leads me to think you will get more guesses of Robocop or Archer than Aliens. (although the Archer one would be pretty accurate and hilarious!)

But do what you are comfortable with. As long as you are having fun then roll with it.
