The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Mocked up due to lack of time, money, and materials.

I ran out of steam last night to get the light added.

This is more of a space/motion mockup test fitting for Marble City Comic Con next weekend. By the end of the weekend I should know for sure whether or not this unit is stout enough for the next addition: a second servo for tilt functionality.

I am using a push button servo control board from sparkfun on this. Great in that it does not have to be programmed to work. You just set the potentiometers(POTS) add a push button switch and you are good to go.

I am adding this separately as this is a good showcase on what you can do if you have no knack for coding.

OK basic build is done. And I would stress on the basic part. I will have to pull a late night just to get things done...

OK the temporary setup worked OK. The hitech hg645 servos withstood abuse, the occasional knock. Wood was a great medium for housing the servos and brackets.
