Post subject:  Sentry gun.
Not much at the moment but the long adventure begins.I have no idea how this is going to turn out becouse I’ve never built anything so komplex as this from aluminum before but so far so good.

The both side panels and the ejection ports,well that’s what I call them are done.
I will be using for the most of the build 1.5mm and 1mm aluminum plate.

This is going to be a long term project so please bare with me,I’ll be posting progress photos as I go along.

Got the little box for the light and battery connector done,and the first plate screwed into place also got the back panel fitted but bare in mind this has to be cleaned up a bit.

I’ll be getting the middle plate done tomorrow and the the real fun can begin.

A little more done on the sentry gun housing,the light and socket is in temporally,I will be removing the lamp before painting,I also got the top box fitted.

The hardest part is going to be the filling and welding before painting,I’ll be using aluminum car body filler wich is excellent for this becouse it has a certain elastic effect to it after it’s dry and it doesn’t crack so it’s great for the parts where there is a bit of movement.

In The rest wich is Seen i will be using aluminum brazing rods.

Hmmm - shiny!

In regard to welding/soldering aluminium you might give this a try: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WMCa4R7CRI
Haven't tried it myself yet, but thought I might give it a try for my PR shrouds.

A little more done on the sentry gun hausing,but still A Lot to be done.

I have never done anything so komplicated as this before but i'm happy how it's turning out so far.

Got the front heat shield fitted,it just needs a little trimming done to it and then i'll be getting it permanentley fitted in to place.

Look up my sentry gun thread, I have been doing some research and have figured out how to get a raspberry pi with camera to control a couple of servos to track faces and motion. I will go into more detail once I get things fully built out as the servos I want to use with bracket will run me about 700USD.

I made a phew mistakes on the front which i noticed after i had finished,now it's basicaly to late to correckt but i'm still happy with it though,i just have to get the long piece for the top done and the Main body is finished,then i'll be getting started in the barrel Cover,wich is going to be Fun.

Thanks guys, but to be honest I don't think anyone would buy them; too expensive, and this is a one off, I won't be building any more of these.

Sentry gun Main body is finished apart from painting,and thats the question Bess Brown or OD becouse in some of the Photos i have they look like OD and some BB.

Most people are saying OD,let me know what you guys think.
