Hey folks,

I just noticed this at my local Lowe's and wondered if it was the same as the UK product used on armour.

That would be a hard one to answer as the stuff used on the original armour is no longer available here in the UK, and of course we don't have the product you're talking about here (at least I don't think we do).

I'm going to test it before putting it on my actual armour. If it is a bust I'll go back to charcoal and only be out a few bucks.

Thats what I used! It was the waxed based polishing product intended for black iron stoves and grates, so I have always been operating as if this is 'grate polish'.

I think it works great myself. The only drawback is the wax base means if you change the paint scheme or add, you can't just go over the top. It wont stick as well and wears off quickly. You have to use steel wool or scotchbrite to buff the weathering off, paint your addition, then reapply the polish

(or in my case when I repaint the armor entirely, completely strip it top to bottom first).
