The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I am trying to get a good reference point for 3-d files for the various props folks have built over the years. If you know of any locations, could you please post in this thread?

Mods, can you please sticky once we get a good amount of threads?

Valid point. We need to figure out a good way to download the files or make them available and not kill our bandwidth bill for the website. I suspect with Disney owning the property we may see a serious uptick in movies and interest...

With the way things are going I always foresaw everyone eventually getting high speed fiber connections at home making access to home data cheap and easy.

Perhaps linking to thing verse and then having set individuals keep local copies of all files to be provided as needed?

Man, I'd pay good money for a nicely printed 1:18th/1:20 scale APC.

Sauriel.pl did a lego one but had no plans. there were some lego ones out there.

https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-3586/K ... ns-apc/#bi
http://dansbrickbuilds.com/
http://www.lforces.com/Aliens.html
https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-6123/L ... -apc-m557/ <--this is the parts list

I think I will get the bottom one and build at some point...

https://bricksafe.com/pages/KillKen
found this one after a day of searching.

I am going to see if I can stir up some chinese interest to get some kits being made available for sale. Lepin and some of the other brands are being litigated by Lego at the moment in China and things could get interesting.

I have messaged suppliers on Alibaba to see what kind of response I can get. The looser laws in China may allow for a solution. If we can get them volume we can probably push for other kits as we find them...

on the remote control unit it appears the bricks will cost about 250. On the non remote control unit it appears brick costs are about 130ish. Bulk of the bricks can be gotten off of lego's pick a brick site. Some of the colors don't match and numbers have changed.

Lego discontinued integration with their site and lego designer in 2012. I think they didn't want to get into the trap of being a custom design center even though longer term that will be one of the few ways they will maintain business solvency, longer term. Kind of the whole mac clone wars deal in the 80s/90s sort of thing.

I will get the app working and hash out what I have going wrong with the lego power loader for the next con.

I believe there is a Chinese producer making LEGO style APC's.

What I'd like is one made of resin or styrene or whatever 3-D printers work in...to go with my 1:18 custom figures.

Got a name? Because of copyright they have to change the name a certain amount...

We're no longer discussing 3D printed props in this thread?

Searching on Google under "Lego Aliens APC" brought this up:

https://www.brickizimo-toys.com/en/bric ... d-apc.html

I plan on printing one. Had the halcyon sp one in the 90s. I have a very detailed solacco that was free to print.

A member here only sells prints, he will not sell files. Too much plaigairism going on...

That unit will fit a bullet backup camera with a little bit of work...

Anyone got the file for the part behind the pump widget on the motion tracker. I’ve got a fdm that came with the part years ago. Was hoping to resin printer it now.

The motiontracker thingiverse file set listed has the pump widget listed as a separate part in the printable files I believe.
