Has it ever really been explored as to what exactly the company could do with the alien as a bio-weapon? I mean, other than air-dropping eggs on enemy territory, or the Queen jelly from the comics, what other mil-tech could you harvest?

Might be some medical advantages/discoveries from such a resilient species that can survive so long in harsh environments, survive long periods without food, and hibernate for hundreds of years yet maintain the ability to spring forth and reproduce. Has to be some serious immune system and recovery skills going on in those cells.

*(Unless of course you subscribe to the original idea for Ridley Scott's alien in which it requires one host to become one egg and become one facehugger, which becomes just one creature with an incredibly short lifecylce. That is a a surefire path to extinction and is not worth gathering info from )

In the comics there was a whole earth angle. Honestly that would make a killer Live action TV series.

Weyland's interest was in the origins of humanity and as a weapon. Imagine a canister of stuff that turns half the folks into xenos and cleans out a whole country in a week or two and then has a built in kill code...
