The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hi guys,

Does anyone know the dimensions of the reflective scotchlite decals that are seen in the corridors and over the door of operations of Hadleys Hope?

I know Harry has some originals but can't seem to contact him.

Thank You!

I recently contacted Harry about his decals as I was recreating them for my research into the colony interior, here is what he told me for their size:

"n terms of size they measure 155mm high top to bottom and are 182mm wide between each 'point'."

Hope that helps!

Please remember folks that of you make these available to send a few my way!

I would certainly be in for a set if such a thing were made.

Cheers Harry, sorry for bothering you.

Would there be much interest in these I wonder?

Scotchlite reflective material ain't cheap unfortunately.

If this is turning into an interest thread then a new topic should be started in the PX section.

Thanks,

Harry

Even the simple paper prints sold on ebay for a high price. So one could assume there is interest.
At least from my side.

All scotchlite 3M reflective! Very happy with them. They were expensive to get all of the colours made in the 3M reflective material but it was worth it when looking at them it person.

The following shows the material illuminated by way of the camera flash

Bumping this thread

I've been working with bughunt10 on a number of things relating to the colony and one of them is these decals.

I've scoured the film, BTS images, etc and have come up with 18 different decals.

I've compared them to the Nostromo Semiotic Standard and tried my best to determine what each signifies...

Some of these I've labeled. Blue labels indicate my best guess and blank ones I have no clue on, but I invite the forum to help guess or decipher what they should mean. (edit: numbers 16 and 18 are directional arrows ;) )

I'm not "content" with the "Computer Terminal" design as I can't get a clear enough picture of it. My brain thinks 8 squares as keys seems lazy, so I also welcome suggestions for that. I'll try to find my best images of it in the film set.

I'll be ordering vinyl to cut these soon, so there might be another Interest thread soon in the PX.

Harry,
If it comes to that - take your pick :)

Just looking for a little help from the community with finalizing them before I commit to making an Interest thread

Would you have screen caps of the ones you're not sure of?

The only one I'm not sure of on the design is what I'm assuming is Computer Terminal. It is placed above Operations door, as well as in the corridor intersection pointing away from the direction of Ops toward the medical wards

The other designs I'm confident with, it's just what they "mean" is what I'm not sure on

Hope that helps to understand

If you can help identify these better Jonesy, there may be a decal or two in it for you ;) :delta:

I ran an interest thread a few months ago but there wasn't enough interest to commit to the price of making these at the time. I'll run another interest thread after con season.
