Post subject:  1/12 Corridor & Flooring
Not sure if post in NECA thread or seperate, I ruled latter LOL

The flooring is actually the tiles from HIYA 1/18th ALIENS line. I am going to sand off the foot pegs and mold this so I cast & extend the flooring range. Here its 5" x 6".

Also started on a Corridor too. CD Racks are AWESOME and give the perfect shape for a WY facility.
Added support struts with holes for pipeing to be added.

Also Using a small section and the limited floor walk way (till I make a mold and cast). Figured give a test Light up to see how it could play out.
I am rather excited now to see ths completed LOL

I seem to recall someone here wanting to have parts mass produced for a figure display...was that you Willie?

Jason, that's looking really good, love the CD rack usage! I molded that same HIYA figure stand myself and made a few copies.

The HIYA Base was a great surprise working so well with the NECA/ 1\12 Customs.

Holy hand grenades, those corridors look awesome, Viking! I took your advice the other day and blew the dust off my old Alien Quadrilogy for more reference pictures for my lockers, and found some good stuff to work with :wink: . I also really like your floor panels! I use paper placement tiles for scene decor, but I would love to get a 3D printer; I've been having pipe dreams lately of all the things I could do with it, lol!

That's great news Blake on revisiting the dvds for ref (always good to do that).
Thanks also for the kind words. The flooring as said is numerous HIYA toys 1/18 ALIENS stands. Just surprised they work so well with NECA. I have removed the foot pegs and am Going to make a master moold over the weekend of the 5"×6" I have, so can make as many as needed.

Would love to say I would do it Willie. Alas I only dabble with casting. As you may have seen from projects on FB.

Well yesterday I made a mold of the 5" x 6" floor base I have.

Today I have done a Bakers Dozen (so inc Original have 14 now).

Did some acid damage to Two tiles and gave them all an undercoat.

Once it had dried, just had to do a mock upi even though Unfinished.

Thanks Bob. Once these floorings and walls are painted up and properly fitted with LEDs and ofc Acc's etc added, should be quite something.

Plus just got the email my 3d printed SULACO 1/12 tile from shapeway will be here on Thursday. So Guess A New Mold there and lots of casting again.

Plus Also Just been given an early Birthday present. I gots me a NECA Powerloader :D

So Ofc I had to do a quick photo test shoot :D

Somewhere on here is a link to a Shapeways store where someone has movie accurate crates in NECA scale...but be warned, they are expensive.

Yep 577-ops, thats where I got the Sulaco 1/12 floor plate from. Early New year will be getting a mix of 1/10th and 1/12 Containers etc too.

A Large Shelf has been become free (moved the M1 Tank) and now somewhere to set up the SCIFI Corridor.

Just a test fit and come out with a Turn off too.

So test photos as it will be awhile till properly set up plus backdrops behind walls and turn off Image to give extended corridor view.

Will be adding Running Lights lower on the walls But Above is taken care as already fitted with LED RGB Lights.
