The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

They make all sorts of pre crimped jumpers and wires.

I will place an order here at some point soon and keep you apprised.

They are very reasonable price wise.

If you need to wire something up or need long jumper wires. Some of the electronics vendors are very hard to find especially for some of the special needs on props folks make.

motion tracker, predator cannon setup, smart gun, fps camera setup. I have been trying to find electronics suppliers that have some of these odd parts. Due to cable routing and such the 12 inch cables are hard to come by in quantities and the 36 inch cables would be great for say the smart gun electronics and cable routing...

Could you not simply make your own up, to custom lengths?
These just look like normal wires with connectors soldered/crimped on, like a 4-pin Molex, SATA, 3/4pin fan, etc...

I agree with you, however, first you have to find the crimps, which these folks sell very cheaply. And the ends which these folks also sell. Something I have not found until I found these folks.

My only contention is that with automated machine crimped wires, you have a better connection and more reliable wiring. Manually crimped wires are prone to issues and failure.

Also all of my write ups utilize off the shelf items so that any person of any skill level can make items themselves.

I also agree with you that crimping is an easy matter. Unfortunately at the smaller sizes it can be fun to get it just right and reliable.

the precrimped connectors are great. The ends are great. Buying the cables that way allowed for much easier connectivity. I rewired the simple cannon setup with it. The lower concentration of wires allowed for a simpler setup using the longer conductors.

Just bear in mind I use off the shelf stuff so I can reference a part on a site from a vendor so someone can build things themselves.

20 pack of precrimped male-female 36" wires

25 pack of pre crimped terminals

50 piece 12" pre crimped male-female 12" wires

Screw terminals go with this:

This was just added and was not on adafruit a few months ago. This beauty is very compact and will work nicely in my gripitop.

Best price on servo extension cables:
