Getting there but slowly, just the kidney plate and lamp brackets to do on the main armour and then it’s on to the helmet, which is going to be fun.

Will the camo paint scheme match the BDU's? Supposedly that was Cameron's original intention and Terry misplaced his sample and improvised. It would certainly be cool to see it done that way, but then of course there's none of the lovely contrast between the armour and the clothing...

Well bigbisont asked me the same question, although it’s an interesting idea to think about I’m still going to stick with the Camo that terry did.

Oops, so he did!

what if you used the armour colors, but the BDU camo pattern? That could be interesting.

That’s an interesting question it would certainly be something new.
I’m just deciding on weather to get the helmet painted or not becouse I’ll be putting a helmet cover on and it’ll be staying on.

Exactly! Terry improvised so if it should be a true ”Cameron M3” it should have the BDU cammo. I mean if going through all this trouble to just end up with a slightly different version then they have in the movie is sad.
I say BDU paint it put some juicy pics for the Aliens history section and then If you don’t like it repaint it into a Terry.

Post subject:  Re: James Cameron Concept M3 armour.

I’m going to Get it painted in the same colors that terry or the art department used but in the same pattern as the BDUs becouse I don’t think that The BDU colors on the armour will look good that’s why terry or the art department at that time chose the Camo that we know today and James liked it better so they just stuck with that,so let’s just get it right the first time instead of unnecessary work afterwards.

Did I tell you how much I love it already ? ;-)

Seriously, I actually like this better than the final M3 that ended up in the movie. Stellar work, buddy !

Maybe I could visit you around Easter (driving to the Harz anyway) or in April on my way to WoH. Would love to see it for real.
