Could someone get a screen cap of the part where Ripley finds Bishop and she's starting to leave the garbage dump, and on the wall above and behind her there's a Weyland Yutani symbol with some Japanese characters under it. And while I'm at it, would anyone know what those symbols say? I'm thinking of having it stenciled on the back of an A3 themed jacket, but I'd like to know what it says before doing so. |

Hey DSB, I have this photo on my website, which I'm pretty sure we copied from the set at the time, and I know I have something on file but because where I'm living now is so small my Alien3 stuff is in storage right now. When I can can next get to it I'll check it out for you - although it's likely that someone will be able to help you out sooner than that. Harry |

If Harry's picture is the same as what dropshipbob is seeing on screen then the first line of characters is katakana (Japanese) for Weyland (translates as Uei-Ra-N-Do) and the kanji symbols below is more than likely Yutani. It uses the kanji cause Yutani is a Japanese name. |

Harry, it's similar to that. Noble, I had read that in certain spots there was kanji for "iron" or "metal", so that might be what it is. Red_2, so the image Harry has has the "W" logo but the kanji says "Yutani"? That seems odd, and slightly redundant. |

Harry I just found some notes I made while was working at 'Alien War London' that says Letters underneath Alien War round WY logo mean "Weyland Yutani Kabushiki-Kaisha; W-Y Joint Stock Corporation. I can't remember who told me that or even if that's accurate, but it's what I wrote down at the time. Hope it's useful! Harry |
