I thought about that but i really didnt want to damage the vest in case i wanted to sell it in the futureand also be able to remove the Lamp if i wanted to transfer it to a different build.

If you have the size of the shoulder lamp this picture gives you a good indication of shape and size.
As you can see in the pic it also looks like there is a support for the actual Lamp Head as well? So i guess since you are saying both operators had 2 different types of mounts then there really is no cannon as long as there is some type of mount kinda similar?
