The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So, I might as well start a thread for my build. It's probably going to be pretty slow going. I have a few different hobbies, and none of them are cheap. Go figure. Anyway, I figured if I posted here as I went along, I might get some constructive criticism that will help me as I get further along. This is the small amount of stuff I have so far. The Jacket is going to be modified to the construction of Gorman's field jacket. At least, as close as I can get sans the zipper. Yup, I'm one of those guys. I'm not going to go 100% just to drive people crazy. Kidding. If I can find somebody that can replace the zipper, and I can find an appropriate zipper... I will change it out. For now, I imagine that wont happen. This is my daily winter coat, not really trying to make it con-worthy or anything, just trying to find another way to fly my geek flag. The name and branch tapes are from Camotech, and they are nice! The other patches are from Patches N Pins. They are nice, but I can see where a nice set of screen printed patches would really shine. The text on the ship patch is almost illegible. The Pulse Rifle is a Snow Wolf (duh) that I got second hand from a forum member. The bolt had to be glued shut for him to carry it in a con. I'm fine with that. I'm going to try to work on this and make it "better". I also have a small collection of thing piling up for a hack kit, but that's not pictured. As more develops, I will share.

I have a thread on how to make a fully functional motion tracker that includes links to all the parts vendors. You can thank Ian Bremner for the code base.
