The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So made an Ebay purchase. Paid a little over 20 dollars for the m58 poncho roll. Theres 4 hooks enough for two slings. Are these the right hooks and did i pay too much?

Sounds right. Re cost ... well a fiver each is good. You can buy em loose on eBay too (probably cheaper on postage that way).

Definitely the right hooks.
Price sounds OK for current times. Used to be £20 would get a full set of '58 Patt, including the large pack, but they're becoming far more scarce, now... probably all these Aliens fans hacking them up for parts!!

Im not a fan of wrecking old military stuff but..... The individual hooks would cost too much to ship from overseas .. im in the us so these are hard to come by here.

So here's my handmade sling....the metal sliders came from some old military shoulder straps. Looked the part. Stitched it by hand. Couldn't locate any 8 panel webbing so went with 7. I did finally locate 8 panel webbing overseas but it will cost me about 70 bucks total. 32 feet of it! That's a lot of straps. Lol can't get a smaller quantity.

That is a sharp looking sling.
Very nice.

"Stitched it by hand"
That couldn't have been too fun.
