The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Thanks to Schotti I'm the proud owner of another plastic belt tool to go with my vintage one barrel. I wanted to try to make it a bit more screen accurate!

I started by taking the whole thing apart to remove the barrel piece.

I then made a new one out of a glue stick cap and part of a pen. The diameter of the pen cap matches the tip of my vintage belt tool, and the ridges on the other cap is evocative of the ones on the lower segment of the original.

So here it is painted* and looking pretty good!

*I have some BB clone paint arriving soon so this will be getting a repaint at that time.

I have got to do this to my last 4 barrel. It really does look much improved simply reducing things to one barrel.

Where's you get the silver hook bit?

Here is a side-by-side comparison of a vintage one barrel (in the back) with my modded one barrel. You can see that the shape of the front is different beyond just the number of barrels.

Bughunt10: I harvest these from pop rivet guns! They are the perfect size as they are intended to keep the gun's handles clipped together. The downside is now I have a couple pop rivet guns flopping around in my workshop...

Here's my lame ass attempt today.

I had a 4 barrel and a nick-a-tron one barrel.

I cut the heads off both and done a swap.

Used polyfilla to hide the gaping hole underneath. Should look ok once it's spray painted.

Dude, that isn't "lame ass" at all! That's going to look fantastic once it is painted.
