The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The huge thread about building Dropship helmets is this one. There are some missing photos though.

Creating mechanisms inside is an interesting fun. The individual elements become to work. A lot of works to finish, but it's more and more cool to hold something that is not only a piece of plastic, but gives a little substitute of the operation of the original gun. With boredom at home I will be able to shoot in the cat butt :D :D

I started making also ear panels of helmet. First I designed both side panels. It was a lot of hours of analizing of reference photos, drawings etc. Finally I have my own designs of all parts of helmet. Then I made hole on left side and try my design in real. Right panel seems to be easier to make because I have got Polaroid part, which is the main part of panel. I started to make rest of this panel.
I have no way to buy Megatron part, so I decided to make rest of parts by myself. Of course the Megatron part is now in raw stage, not finished :)

Of course it is possible to make patches for you. This month I'll realize the run of patches for members of CM Drop Team Poland. I'll do extra patches. I must learn about costs of shipment. I prepared also patches of PLCM :) What do you think about them ? :)

Great design.

BTW:
I hope the next time we reach you time as we had a request last year for a Marine group to come to a con to your country,
but none responded. So let's keep communication channels open and better luck next time.

Thank you a lot !! It is old school modelmaking without 3D printer :D
I am very curious how will look ready made copies after casting. I already have to make 5 copies for PLCM :)
After that I want to continue making helmets for me and my wife :)

You know that I'm building eracaps from scratch. I created my own drawings. I'm working on reference photos and the left eracap is ready in the shape but I'm not shure about proper size of it.
"...HELP ME OBI WAN. YOU ARE MY ONLY HOPE !!.... "

Request to people who have this earcap made of original parts - Could you give me these dimensions on picture ? It will be very helpfull for me. Thanks a lot :)

Finally, I continue the subject of the helmet. Drake555 and Moloch - Thank you for helping me with dimensions :D :D
Now I'm sure that my greeblies will be perfect shape and size :D
Now I cut the holes for both panels and put in the sheets of HIPS. I used epoxy glue and I'm waiting for the glue to dry and further works to finish earcap platforms.
