I am in the SouthEast, gunhaven. I just need to go to a gunshow and see if I see one paticular vendor. I think we can make do with something looks close... |

The response: "We aren't quite sure who it is that carries the cases. We have quite a few vendors and staff isn't 100% on who this could be. We will be in Knoxville at the Expo on April 28-29. The best idea may be to wait until that show & stop by and see if the vendor is there." |

OK these folks sold cases and are gun show only. There was another guy that sold cases only and he never saw the type of case in the movie. I think it was a custom home brew, unless, the case was a typical storage case for an mg42. I did buy a 4 foot case off of that guy. My acquisition will not fit through a 3 foot door, hehehe. It will fit in the shed though. I should have enough room to store all my convention stuff in there though... And it fits in the bed of my truck. I think this could work to my advantage traveling to other conventions... |

Obviously not a match, but similar in style. The driver told me he believed it held a car transmission. I tell ya, I think BugStomper had it right when he targeted product/equipment specific shipping material that was not really intended for re-use. I'm thinking we just need to ID the commonly used item in movie making that had that factory packaging. Something large like a camera, stage light, or dolly or something. |
