The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Gday Marines.
After a lot of searching for knots to match the hudson and Drake Paracord necklace. I came to a dead end. Well life is a funny sometimes. While on a job site the Electrician was tying his extension leads in a funny manner so it wouldn't twist the inner wires. When he was done, I asked to look at it and bingo here it is. The simplest knot you could ever do. The hardest part is getting all the loops even. here is a pic of the screen used necklace

Here is a pic of the knot that i believe that was used in the film.

Would love to hear what you think. If this is the correct knot. If so ill get a you tube link up soon.

Great job Trigger Happy! I've been looking for the correct knot for a long time. There's a tutorial floating around here for an incorrect pattern which is what I ended up going with. It looks cool in its own right, and I'm not looking to recreate Hudson's armour. But for those who are, your attempt is the closest yet!

Here it is as requested. the youtube link. So basically you make a loop then feed the paracord threw it and create another loop and so on and so on. here is the video. thanks to Grant or M41Aslinger.

I finally got around to trying my hand at this. Not quite as pretty as the screen used image (might need to tighten up the loops a bit), but the video was extremely helpful! Thank you for that.

This looks like a loose version of the horsemanship knot I use on my ropes...
