Post subject:  DIY: making a budget 'Hugger Stasis Tube
There are some phenomenal build threads on here already for a truly screen accurate stasis tube, but I wanted to show my inexpensive (yet still pretty screen accurate) version. Here's a shot of the tube as it stands right now:

The total cost for the build so far? $36.00*

Plastic bucket: $4
Two bucket lids: $2
Three wooden dowels: $3
Switches: $10
Cheap flashlight: $1
Sheet of balsa wood: $1
Jumbo poster frame (for the plexi): $15

*Now I've actually spent less as I already had the plexi from the poster frame (and the paint), but I priced out an identical frame at Marshall's for anyone who was interested.

Once I attach the dowels and rig up a light from underneath it'll look pretty good. The NECA 'Hugger is a bit broad in the details so my stasis tube sort of matches.

Nope, it is very bendy, almost like the blister pack on an action figure. It is a far cry from the glass we see in the film, but that is well outside my price range.

I just looked it up. You might be right. The largest diameter I could find is 6 3/4"

Nice work! If you wanted to fake the look of it being filled with water, you could try threading clear beads onto fishing line and suspend that from the underside of the lid (should look like bubbles rising).

I'm not sure how that would look upon execution, but if you don't like, it doesn't have to stay.

Finishing this thing off. I needed some plastic so I hit up my local dollar store. Under the bed storage bin for a buck! Measure twice, cut once.

This was a really fun build. I used cut down pen caps pilfered from my work to finish the ends of the rods.

I'm still am working on the lighting, but I have a few options in mind.

That looks excellent. You're like the A-Team, you get locked in a barn with nothing but sheets of metal and a few rusty tools and are able to somehow able to make yourself a bulldozer and break yourself out.
