I am thinking a digital meter of some kind. Looks like a 2 digit 7 segment display on the bottom between the two square white buttons and the top a larger LCD display. Maybe a thermostat? Did Superswitch have anything like that in their home electronics?

Making progress on the mount. I used some cheap screen door pulls for the gripper fingers. Finding an octagonal block and the right tapered tube are my next challenges.

Is there any electricians on here that might be able to identify the boards used on the walls in the attached?

They look like electronic casing of some kind???

I think those are TV back panels as well. At least the lower ones are two of those connected together with the lower one of the two turned upside down.
