The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

"The jungle was yellow, vivid yellow! According to the breifing, it was because the local biology was all based on right-handed amino acids....Anyway, there we were, sweating out butts off in an LZ surrounded by an jungle so alien that it glowed this sick yellow. Then the order comes down from the Colonel - start painting your gear."
--- Helene 215 campaign (referenced in the Colonial Marines Technical Manual)

Very nice spin on PR paint job. Using references from the Tech manual is a fun idea.

I love this, and I also think it could be used to "justify" the Nerf paint scheme.

Nice.
But I have to ask: Can Amino Acids have a dominant hand??

Absolutely yes - left and right "handedness" of molecules is called chirality. Earth amino acids are all 'right handed' [I believe, it's been many, many years since my Uni Chemistry days], or rather earth-based organisms can only use right handed acids.
Given the universe is a biiiiig place, nothing to suggest that non-terrestrial organisms couldn't use left handed amino acids ... assuming life exists elsewhere, which I'd like to believe does (possibly not sentient, but that's not relevant for this discussion).
