The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Sweet! I like it. :-)
The smartgun logo I'm doing is real basic (black & white, as pretty much all my art is the technical black & white style) so I'm naturally picturing the second logo down in black/white/gray in my head.

The nice thing about having different people design different parts of the EU is the variety of style. It lends a great realism to any fandom.

Just threw it onto a metal background for a quick mock-up.

Yeah, saw that today. Would love to know their reasons.

From the HCG website -

Are the blueprints Graham Langridge's work?

Dunno, not credited on the HCG site [that I can see]. And the rez on the pic isn't good enough to read the fine print.

Personally, not heard of Graham Langridge before (although google/IMDB says he's in the 2010 doco "Alien Fans".
Am assuming he's done some schematics then? Any links to his work or website (if he has one) please?

Definetly Graham artwork, just like the Powerloader he drew for them.
He did the Nostromo, Sulaco, Dropship and APC too.

I'm going to assume they chose "G&R Armaments" as a nod to our two favourite smartgunners, Goldstein & Rolston

First...great thread. Second...I got excited and couldn't help myself...

The first two designs are just straightforward corporate logos with a kind of fire-ish 'S' for a military/flamethrower company.

The last one was based on the family surname 'Steedman', for one who 'raises horses' or 'tends to war horses'. It might work as a patch some day, but now that I finished it I think it might be over the top in any other applications.

Groovy. 8)

We got a tribute to Trevor talked about earlier in this thread....my thanks to William T. Pace 'Yellowjacket' for allowing for and providing the use of his Steed Manufacturing logo.

Also one who is as big as a horse (perhaps even hung like a horse) and doesn't mind being ridden by good looking posh women... all of which I'm sure Trev would have a giggle at!!
