I seem to recall that there was a version of ALIEN in which the music was on a separate layer or channel from the all the dialog and sound effects. Does anyone know if such a thing exists for ALIENS? What I'd like to do is take the atmosphere processor sounds and extend them so I have one long track of just the "thrumbing/throbbing" sounds. I found something similar for the sounds of the Nostromo on youtube, that's what gave me this idea. Can such a thing be done? |

There are isolated scores for all the Alien films on the Alien Anthology blu-ray set. But the scores are all that are isolated, just like a commentary track. There's no other "audio separation". |

Well, that's unfortunate. |

Alien and Aliens both have 2 separate isolated scores however. The score as used in the film and a "composers score", which is a bit different. |
