I have been plowing through the archives here for info on it, and while it's certainly been discussed a bunch, most of the picture links are broken. Was there ever anybody with access to a screen-used PR who was able to take measurements off it? I have the PropStore photo which I've been using for reference, but would love more info before making one. I'd rather get it right the first time, basically

don't have the actual prop dimensions but I can give you the dimensions of the one I made. i'll sort it tomorrow if you're interested

I'd be interested in the dimensions too please; you made yours for a real steel barrel, yeah?

yes I made one for my deactivated tommy. I didn't bother to screw cut into the barrel because it will never fire anything. I did something like the diagram below. turned it out of bar stock and drilled out the 10mm barrel opening.



It is attached with a solid insert into the original barrel, exactly the same diameter of the barrel and hammered in so that the rifling grabs it. solid as a rock.



anyway I've just got to get through a mind numbing day at work and then i'll get some measurements over.

I need to mention that when I started my build I made the mistake of cutting off the front section of the tommy barrel i.e.



the dimensions above include the extra length to account for my missing front section.

Thank you so much for sharing! I have a barrel-venting hudson I'm using as the base, so I will leave the barrel hollow I think. The sight ring is molded into the barrel, unfortunately, so I will have to file it down instead... or chop it like you did. Honestly, the chop looks pretty great and would be less hassle.

just looked up your Hudson gun. Man that looks good. Wish we didn't have VCRA in the UK, I'm way too old to run around an airsoft field to get a license.

how are you planning on attaching the plug whilst maintaining a vent hole? I guess if you did the same as I did I would be possible to drill a small bore hole through the solid insert section allowing the gas to vent.
