The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The 'hard parts' are all looking great.

Where do you stand on the 'soft parts' (pouches, webbing, etc)?

Also I see you made the shoulder parts for both the heavy and the regular guy. Which way are you leaning in that regard as it relates to the head gear (as in 'are you building the helmet too? Or going with the baclava and ball cap)?

Thanks all for the kind words.

To be honest I haven't had any thoughts about pouches or any sort of webbing but I will deal with that when the time comes.

The hardest part is yet to come - the helmet, but I do have a plan for that. I'm just trying to get all the main armour finished first.

The helmet base will be hard plastic like for Airsoft, all the other parts I will be making from aluminium but like I said it's a long way yet.

Well done!
With a Cap and the right BDU it would already look awesome.
Good luck with the helmet.

This may sound stupid, but what colour(s) will you paint the armour, if at all?

Mindblowing how quickly you blow through such a complicated challenge !

Also the grimy wash really helps to break up the flat grey. Looking great !

Hello Prev

The colour is a sort of cream grey but after three washes it looks pretty grey but all in all I'm quite happy with it.
It has to look as if it has seen some combat thus the dirty and scratched Look.

I was watching District 9 the other night and one of the guys tormenting Wikus at the end was wearing armor similar to this. I immediately thought of this thread!
