The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Well, the construction of mine was pretty rickety, but there is more than one maker of these, so maybe others are of better construction.

I'm going to go on a limb and say that the newer versions with the ribbed front ends (like the GE) may indeed be stronger. That ribbing surely adds strength. I have a smooth ended brinkmann and I am pretty sure it would not survive the fall if I dropped it from waist high onto cement.

Following the instructions on Spat's site ( http://www.spatcave.com/flashlight.htm ) I finally got my torch rewired.

The button is nice and discreet; it almost looks factory made!

Does anyone have dimensions on the torch light? Looks like I would have to fabricate a facsimile that looks close in size and appearance.
