The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

So I am working on the tough task of assembling information on the Nostromo, from the internet, the ACM technical manual, and our discussions on prop summit about the ship. Here's a draft table of contents, based on another popular science fiction technical guide. There are gaps where I deleted some of the universe-specific stuff that doesn't crosswalk over to the ALIEN universe:

LOCKHEED CM-88B BISON M-Class star freighter

If you fancy this sort of exercise, I welcome any constructive inputs.

Cheers,

Damn dude, that is a great idea for making this a reality. Each section could be a bite-sized chunk for someone to tackle, so much less daunting than trying to write this without an outline.

What's the significance of Lockport and Lockhart in your post, I thought it was Lockheed?

I did something similar to your idea a couple years ago, though on a much smaller scale, and this is what I wrote. The company names are all real companies, though some of them no longer exist, and the fire suppression systems I took from the net as being in current use but sounded 'futuristic' enough.

I took the liberty of including various sci-fi terms for things, which I'm sure most of you will recognise, and I tried to write it in a way that seemed plausible.
