The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Sorry to be pedantic but that's not a Gerber!

If you look closely at the base of the blade near the handle and you can make out the word SCALEMEAD etched into the steel. It's a Hollow Handled Boot Knife available through the 70's & 80's by SCALEMEAD ARMS I have loads of old Airgun World, Airgunner and Survival Weaponry and Techniques Magazines containing their full page adverts for their range including this knife.

The same knife is pictured in the Tech Manual too, I'm not sure if it is Screen Used/Accurate but it certainly could pass for a Gerber in a quick shot.

It's a Night Raider and it is screen accurate... however, you're right, it's not a Gerberk MK II.

It was carried by Hicks and Drake (maybe Vaz too, but I'm not 100% on that). Hicks on his left grenade strap, Drake in his boot.

Hudson was the only one who carried a Gerber Mk II.

Oh and the "Boom Stick" is an ARWEN 37 tear gas launcher.

Freakin' awesome pics Willie! Many thanks! :delta:

I'm guessing either very briefly in the background in a rack in the armoury scenes OR it was on set with the other weapons supplied by Baptys and was photographed but never actually used.

As Kevin correctly states it is an ARWEN 37 = Anti Riot Weapon ENfield a five shot revolving drum 37mm Launcher for non lethal rounds. If you want one I think I have a spare one in 1/6th scale somewhere but if you want a real one then good luck applying for a Section 5 Firearms Dealers Ticket!

Of particular note to Kevin, Dom and Co is the infomation below perhaps this should be added to the UACM Armoury? ;-)

Willie,
Is this a rubber "stunt" gun as some of the detail seems a wee bit "soft" and fuzzy?

Good question, I'm not really sure, but it might be. The VP-70 looks like it may be as well.

No doubt on both counts, the VP looks a bit curved and the SA 80 has all the vent holes filled, still IMHO the SA80 is a good casting .
