The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The tags were discussed in this thread. Not much excitement and some debate regarding if Bishop's were even accurate.

The loader is impressive and cool, but good googly moogly that price tag! With loaders available in no less than 8 different scales, this is an easy pass for me personally. Too many other cheaper options that scratch the itch.

For that price and it's completely static...pass. It's the same issue I had with the Polystone APC. It was expensive and had no lights, the turrents didn't stow away etc etc. The big selling point was that it was "heavy". Why in the world would I care if it's heavy? I wish someone would simply release a plastic full function version or even better an RC unit. I can throw a much better paint job over top of the plastic and it would still be a sweet collectable.

Heavy and Static...no go.

I can only echo Pepperpete (mainly as I have the Hot Toys loader), an R/C APC will sell. It would appeal to multiple groups of hobbyists.

The HCG APC not having lights is just plain lazy, sure it'll save a small amount of money for the buyer manufacturing wise, but there is ZERO moments in the film where it has no lights on.
Don't get me started on the 'squished' Alien...

As for the tags, they look pretty cool but there's 2 members on this site that make tags just as well for half the price.

I thought I'd share some photos of my HCG Loader which arrived a few days ago. I've got to say I'm very impressed with this, the build quality and paint-job (the master was done by the extremely talented Jason Eaton) are excellent. At 1:4 scale (same as the miniature used in the film) it's pretty huge!

While it does kind of fit in the fireplace (and looks awesome!) the arms do stick out a little. It won't stay in the living room though as Sue has her Batman stuff in there; the dining room is where my Aliens stuff is. We try not to mix it up, we're not savages! ;)
