I need one of these for my kids' playroom.

Tim Martin`s certainly a star among creature designers and I am _very_ happy to see a lifesize Alien Warrior from him.

That being said the pose doesn`t quite work for me. With the stiffness in the lower back and the legs it looks like an old man bending down. Upper body and details look ace though.

Exactly my sentiment, but the sculpt itself is ACE!

My thoughts too, looks great, just too stiff looking.

Hmm, I guess I see what you guys are talking about, but to me it just looks like he's rising up from a crouch ready to pounce.

Mostly I'm happy to see someone being faithful to the original leg design. Too many folks opt for the stupid A:R legs (I'm looking at you Gearbox).

I can't help but hear the Xeno shout "You darn kids get off my lawn!"
Is it a static piece or in some way poseable? This would rock all kinds of socks off if it were displayed in a crouching or upright pose.
Not to take anything away from the talent, it's just the pose that could be improved upon.

This sculpt actually allows for varying degrees of posability. This particular pose was made to a client's specification at behest of the studio to allow for easy transportation and display (love the use of the tail as a third "leg" to support it).

Really hate to disagree there as well. On the third pic from the top you can see how the tail runs parallel to the legs.
Instead of flowing out of the lower spince in an elegant way this enhances the impression of stiffness.

But after all this could be fixed rather easily. One of my most prized possessions is a lifesize Magee Alien, also done by Tim. If this warrior with some minor adjustments would be out for sale...I´d have a serious problem resisting the urge to buy.

With the Aliens being such elegant horrific killers I tend to get particularly pedantic when it comes to this aspect.

I thought you were disagreeing that the tail position doesn't provide additional support. Here in earthquake prone Los Angeles, I'm happy with extra assurances. Sometimes where space is at a premium a more compact pose can be an advantage. Again, the good news is the freedom to have it in other positions is of course a possibility...

Would that be better? Sure, maybe so. Did he in every other way capture the essence of the Alien? Absolutely, and on that I think we already agree. I dearly wish I had a spare $3,000 and room for one of these in my house...

I agree the pose is a tad stiff from the waist down but it's no less awesome. The angle of the last pic looks great.

I want one in some sort of crouch and short base because the ceilings in the basement are not that high... a little over 7 feet.

Absolutely love it but I have to agree with everyone else. The knees need to be bent a bit to give it that aggressive nature look instead of "Damn Kids" look.

But also HOLY CRAP it's amazing!

After looking at it again, I think the problem is the top half really seems in motion, but the bottom half is a great static stance.
Therefore to match the bottom IMO it would have looked better with both arms slightly forward in some way.

Fantastic sculpt though and cool that it can be posed more to the customers requirements
