The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I Don,t think it will be ready for that, becouse when the Build is finished it has to be painted, and to be honest i'm Krapp at painting so this is why it's going on a Little Jerney to England.

I got the the shoulder conecktors done and fixt.

I'll be getting the pauldrons fixed later After work and then it's basicaly done, apart from a litte polishing to get the small scratches out.

There are a phew dents but i'm going to Leave them in,it gives the armour a sort of used Look when it's painted.

Looks amazing dude. Make sure you put on the ab pad when you try on the armour or you're going to think it's too short

Thanks guys.

I'm Not quit happy with the pauldrons,Not the complete pauldrons just the shoulder Parts underneath,so i'm going to have to make a desission either to change them out completely or Cut them at the back where it's Not Seen.

Sorry to backtrack a minute, but I have a quick question about those rivets.

Do they compress much? Or is the length they are pretty much the thickness your materials should be?

The ones I have easy access to appear to be a bit long for my intended use. I am not sure how much flatter they get when the halves are hammered together.

Hello fellow armourer

Well They Need to Show through a bit becouse They Need to compress quit tightly and that Way They hold verry well,if they are to Short They will just Cum appart.

I used a flat headed punch to flatten Mine, i hope that helps becouse They Need to hold, you don't want your armour falling appart at a con do you :D

Regards

Neil

Thanks. I am not worried about the rivets being hammered tight, I am more worried about the 'post' being too long. I worry if I used the ones I have that the post will bend or fold before the ends are snug against the materials. I think I need to find smaller/shorter post rivets.

Exactly if the post is to Long They Tend to slide apart and have no contact, the ones i use have a 7 mm long post that worked just fine for me.

And These i used for the whole Build.

I decided to make a throat Guard for my armour, although they where Never used in the Film i just thought it belongs to the armour.

I will probably just hang it on my belt or just stuff it on One of the pouches.
