Fun fact: This kind of setup could be easily modified for other props. Like, say, something with a 2-Digit counter instead?

Interested depending on what type of Power LEDs could be driven by this board.

One of the best things about lithium polymer batteries is the incredible amount of current they're capable of delivering. This is why they're so great for RC vehicles and airsoft guns. A single-cell LiPo puts out 3.3v, which is more than you need for most LEDs - the amber LEDs I'm using for the muzzle each need a 68ohm resistor to drop that down to 2.1v, for example. The limiting factor would actually be the current your Arduino board is capable of carrying from the battery to the LEDs... but that's easily solved by having a MOSFET handle the current to the LEDs from the battery, instead of the board itself. The board just triggers it. So, with that sort of circuit setup, your only real limitations are how many watts the 'fet can handle, and how times a day you feel like recharging your batteries. xD

I'm thinking a 7 or 8-LED cluster oughtta do it. :twisted:

Currently I'm using a ring of 12 LEDs plus 1 IR LED operated by a 2nd board for the flash logic, that runs at 9V.
Ideal would be one single board runing by one LI airsoft batterie.

Update: I spoke with one of the Freesiders on Sunday night, and they're more than happy to have some of their programmers look over my code and help me perfect it. More soon!!
