The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

The belt is all business in the front, party in the back. It is the USCM mullet:

I know it is screen accurate, but I'm not a fan at all. Does anyone have a tip for how to combat it other than hiking the belt up over the butt flap on the back of the armour?

Simply tightening the belt up snug has always worked for me. I reckon my ample backside prevents this from being a problem for me!

Hell, I sold my welder off as it pulled my belt down too much.

Yeah! I was noodling putting some velcro straps through the slots where the butt plate attaches to the back plate and fastening them around to make two loops hidden underneath it. I might even thread my belt through one of the drop loops from the bigger pouch in between these velcro loops to keep that from traveling around. I might solve two problems with one fix!

I added two loops under the back of the armor to support the belt. They are hidden by the back plate.

To be honest, as military load bearing equipment goes, it's pants! front supported by suspenders which also hold the shoulder armour down but with no rear support where the pouches are and thus the weight........................you would almost think it was designed by a film prop department and not the military!................ actually I just do the belt up tight and have the pouches more to each side, I have my holster on my ab pad strap so it's lower and have the small pouch over the top of that and the low slung large pouch on my left rear hip so the rear armour sits over the belt without too much issue.

Wear a simple/thin webbing harness under the armour attached to the belt.
It also gives something you can attach the top of the Ab Pad to, to keep that up and tidy at the front too. ;-)

Gunny: I too wear my holster on the ab pad strap. I want to say one of the Marines in the film does too, but I don't recall.

punkmarine: yup, I wear braces under the armour to keep the top of the ab pad in place, but I hadn't considered attaching the back clips to the belt. I'd been clipping it to the back of my trousers. All in all it is a complicated process getting in and out of all this stuff!

I was going to say duct tape, available cheap in green from Dollar Tree, but you marines seem to have the issue strapped on - errr, well in hand!
