The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Here's a picture of Frost looking incredibly cool...

I had heard there were M16s in the racks but had never picked them out until now...

What is in the racks on the right hand side of the picture?

Sorry if this has ever been previously discussed...

Look to the right of Frost, though... They look like long barrelled sniper rifles? Definitely not Colt Commamdos there?

Yeah, that barrel does throw things off. They do look to be rather long...hmm

But those m16 bodies with short mags and collapsible stocks look pretty clear. Those stocks were the first of what would become the standard multi position stock of modern M4s.

Maybe they stuck a regular M16 barrel on them without any foregrips or sights in order to look unique, not unlike how they modified the Lewis Guns?

Yeah, judging by the overall length (if you compare across from the M16A1's from butt stock to muzzle), they look like they'd be XM177's (Colt Commandos) without any fore-grips or fore-sight posts.

Probably just removed all the furniture at the delta ring.
