Hoping to get a bit of advice -

Nearly at the end of my Pulse Rifle build from a G&P Kit, CYMA Thompson and a combination of the excellent guides / builds / mods I've found on here - plus incorporating some of the genius of Noble (Mag Insert) and Majenko (FX Board). I'm sure you've all seen a billion PR builds by now on here but I'll post up some pictures soon anyway

The final part I'm stumped at though is how to wire a small powered speaker to the FX board - has anybody done this? And if so, what method did you use? I initially hooked a little cheap 2W / 8ohm speaker directly from the speaker outputs on Majenko's board but I think the speaker must have blown so I want to tread carefully next time... !

Thanks, that worked perfectly! The board was a good size to hide in the slot just about the barrel block and was quite loud for such a little speaker! Only £5 from Amazon - I bought another one just to have but you can link them up so if have the room you could have a few in yer PR for added whoomph!

Can I ask anyone who has the Majenko sound board installed, do you get a slightly high pitch "whine"? I've tried a few different speakers now but always seem to get this same sound when I power up the FX board: http://tinyurl.com/o8s39pd

My v2 made a whine however the v2.1 does not

Sure it's the 2.1 version I have, bought it fairly recently via his eBay shop and I'm positive that v2.1 was stamped on the board. Works superb otherwise! I'm a complete novice at eletronics so hoping that maybe I've just hooked it up wrong...
