| Post subject: | Helmet camo pattern template? |
Hey guys long time lurker, new poster. My friend and I are getting ready to do helmet builds and were wondering if there were any movie accurate camp templates out there. I wasn't sure if each helmet was the same or if there were differences in the patterns at all? Any help would be appreciated and sorry if this has been asked before. |

I am the friend DB speaks of, pleasure to join the forum after all this time enjoying your posts. I know many guys tend to gravitate toward Hudson due to the reference out there, but I am especially curious about Hick's helmet camo. Has anyone ever gotten a handle on the patterns? Are we left only the screenshots and auction photos? |

If there isn't an actual template at all I'm wondering if there is a close enough that people use for their helmets or do most of you just base it off screen caps and wing it? |

Hey guys! There aren't any templates, but Osmotic posted some great shots halfway down this thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14409 |

That said, guys like ObiHan have done meticulous camo pattern reproductions based off screen shots and produced stellar results. So more power to you if you have the skill and patience. Still, it isn't like anyone is going to criticize you for having a brown that arcs left instead of right or not have your black-green start at your camera instead of your ear cup or anything like that. Just have fun with it |

So more power to you if you have the skill and patience. As inconsistent as the on-screen paintjobs were, winging it (in a certain style "frame") will do the trick. But I went after exact patterns, and would do it all over again. Actually, I will: I am in the process of painting two more sets of armour for my teammates. |
